The biennial International Dental Exhibition and Meeting, IDEM 2004, is again being staged in Singapore from April 2-4, 2004. Organised by the Singapore subsidiary of German-based Koelnmesse in the alternate years to the world's largest dental show, IDS, IDEM is a partnership with the Singapore Dental Association.
According to the organisers, "We have scoured the globe and have invited eminent speakers from all over the world to talk on a variety of topics including Aesthetic dentistry; Innovations in Implant surgery and prosthodontics; 'New Age Bugs'; Bioterrorism - how will it affect the dentist; Prevention of sensitivity after composite restorations; Minimal intervention dentistry; Orthodontic anchorage; Forensic Odontology; Digital photography and Imaging; and Risk Management."
Invited international speakers include William Liebenburg from Vancouver, Canada; Prof. Michael S. Block, New Orleans, USA; Prof. L.P. Samaranakyake, Hong Kong, China; Dr Geoffrey Craig, Sheffield, UK; Dr Gary Unterbrink, Triesen, Liechstenstein; Dr Hien Ngo, Adelaide; Dr Kevin Lewis, London, UK.
Around 250 dental companies from 35 countries are expected to take part in the accompanying exhibition to show the latest and greatest in dental products and technologies, including group participations from Germany, Italy, the United States and Japan.
IDEM 2004 provides Australian and New Zealand dentists with the opportunity of a short, tax deductible break to a busy city in the heart of Asia.
