High Tech Laser has continued its international expansion by now offering its products and support services in New Zealand.
As part of the move, High Tech has sponsored the NZDA-Accredited Lasers in Dentistry Course in Auckland in May.
According to managing director Matt Moncrieff, the move across the Tasman is a logical step in the company's expansion. "New Zealand is an important market for us and we are keen to provide training and educational opportunities to build laser dentistry knowledge within the New Zealand dental community," he said.
The accredited course, held at the NZDA's headquarters and presented by Professor Laurence Walsh, provides dentists with a sound knowledge of the full range of technologies within the field of laser dentistry.
Professor Walsh is the Dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Queensland, and is an internationally recognised laser dentistry expert.
The NZ course follows on from a round of similar courses presented by Prof. Walsh across Australia.
"High Tech Laser is a global group with our founding headquarters in Europe and an ever-growing local operation serving as our Australasian base," Mr Moncrieff said.
"Last year, we commenced our regional expansion by opening channels into China with a successful December symposium on Laser Dentistry in Nanjing.
"This year's move into New Zealand is a natural reflection of our regional growth."
