Japanese firm Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (MCI) has acquired Heraeus Kulzer, the dental division of Heraeus, effective 1 July 2013.
MCI will maintain the existing structure of the Hanau-based dental company and will continue to trade under the name Heraeus Kulzer. Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (MCI), the long-standing Tokyo-based Japanese company and Heraeus, the Hanau-based precious metals and technology group, announced the takeover of Heraeus Kulzer GmbH on April 4, 2013. The acquisition allows MCI to expand its international activities in the dental sector. By working closely with Mitsui, which has a proven track record in research and development, Heraeus Kulzer aims to develop further innovative solutions for dental practices and laboratories. As part of the acquisition, MCI has taken over Heraeus’s dental division with all 1,400 employees in 20 locations around the world. Customers will not be affected by the change. Heraeus Kulzer will retain its name, its current management team and its global headquarters in Hanau. Heraeus Kulzer’s portfolio of tried-and-tested products and services will still be available to dentists and dental technicians. Scan the QR code to learn more about Heraeus Kulzer.
