Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health practitioners, has been ranked 296th on the Fortune 500 list, marking its first appearance among America's 300 largest corporations since debuting at number 487 in 2004.
Henry Schein had net sales in 2012 of $8.9 billion, up from $4.1 billion when it first made the list in 2004. The company has grown at a compound annual rate of 17 percent since Henry Schein became a public company in 1995.
