GC awarded Japan Quality Medal

GC is the first dental company in the world to be awarded the "Japan Quality Medal". This internationally acknowledged prize is presented by the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) and has only been awarded 18 times in the past 35 years since its inception.

In 1994, GC was the first dental firm to receive certification for quality management in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. This was followed in 1998 by ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

In 2000, GC was the first dental company in the world to receive the "Deming Award for Business Excellence". This famous Japanese prize for quality, named after the American Dr W. Edwards Deming, was awarded to GC for its excellent quality control before and during the production process and for its exceptional focus on customers, employees and added value.

The considerable quality efforts of GC have now been reaffirmed by the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers. In November 2004 the company received the "Japan Quality Medal". This award recognizes firms and organisations that have markedly improved their quality commitment in the four years since receiving the Deming Award. Above all, it therefore acknowledges the sustainability of their achievements in terms of business excellence.
