Fluor Protector Gel from Ivoclar Vivadent strengthens teeth

New Products

New Fluor Protector Gel from Ivoclar Vivadent treats teeth gently and intensively (Figure 1). Calcium, fluoride and phosphate protect the teeth against acids and repair and strengthen weakened dental enamel (Figure 2). Fluor Protector Gel contains xylitol, which inhibits the growth of caries-causing bacteria. Furthermore, the pro-vitamin D-panthenol is soothing to the gums.

Special dental care in the practice and at home

Fluor Protector Gel from Ivoclar Vivadent is recommended for daily use to protect the teeth from caries and erosive wear and to protect the periodontal tissue from inflammation. The gel is particularly suitable for sensitive teeth and exposed tooth necks. In addition, it is ideal for patients who consume acidic foods or suffer from a dry mouth. The gel can also be used during orthodontic treatment (Figure 3) and tooth whitening or after professional tooth cleaning.

Special care for special needs

The gel is non-abrasive and it has a neutral pH. Therefore, weakened tooth structure is treated with care. The gel gently and thoroughly cleans teeth that are sensitive, teeth with erosion-related enamel defects and teeth that are susceptible to caries, and it strengthens them in the process. Fluor Protector Gel supplies the tooth structure with important components such as calcium, fluoride and phosphate. The mucosa and gingiva of patients who have a dry mouth are very sensitive to external stimuli, including toothbrushing. Fluor Protector Gel with its soothing provitamin and mild taste offers these patients a welcome alternative for their daily dental care.

Customised application

Fluor Protector Gel can be applied with a toothbrush, an interdental brush or a tray - depending on the individual needs:

  • Fluor Protector Gel can be used instead of toothpaste to brush teeth: In this case, the teeth are brushed for 3 minutes 2 to 3 times a day.
  • At night, after toothbrushing with a conventional toothpaste, the gel is additionally brushed onto teeth with a toothbrush.
  • The spaces between teeth or in fixed dentures - for example in bridges or implants - are cleaned with an interdental brush and the gel (Figure 4).
  • Fluor Protector Gel can be loaded in a tray, which is worn for 10 minutes 1 to 2 times a day (Figure 5).

Challenging conditions are taken into consideration

Due to its smooth consistency and its excellent wetting properties, Fluor Protector Gel is capable of spreading its protective components into difficult-to-reach risk areas. Therefore, the porous surfaces of teeth that have been attacked by acid are more readily supplied with the strengthening calcium, fluoride and phosphate particles. Since the gel hardly foams, it is easy to distribute and patients are not tempted to rinse their mouth directly after the application. As a result, the ingredients are capable of unfolding their protective effect.

Good feeling in the mouth

The pleasant light mint taste and the perceptible smoothness of the teeth after the treatment with Fluor Protector Gel leave a good feeling in the mouth.
