A total of 4755 Australians and 3042 internationals visited the FDI Sydney 2003 World Dental Congress and exhibition at Darling Harbour during its four-day duration from September 18-21.
Most people agreed that the Congress met all expectations and was a true international forum fostering friendship, goodwill and new ideas for better oral health care.
The variety of programmes available during the day to further the knowledge base of the dental profession at large was supplement by numerous official functions in the evening hosted by FDI, as well as the traditional cocktail parties, harbour cruises, dinners, dances and the like laid on by the dental industry that celebrate the symbiotic relationship that congress visitor and exhibitor enjoy.
Many new products were shown at the trade exhibition, the largest yet seen in Australia and most companies who participated were more than happy with the event.
For the adventurous, the next FDI World Dental Congress is in New Delhi, India, 10-13 September 2004.
