ESPE celebrated their 50th anniversary in style recently with a function at the new IMAX Theatre in Darling Harbour, Sydney.
The 70 guests included Mr Karl Janni, ESPE's International Mark-eting Director and Mr Michael Glassen, ESPE's Pacific Regional Manager, together with ESPE staff and dealers from around the country and special guests. Festivities commenced in the theatre auditorium with guests treated to one of the thrilling IMAX presentations entitled The Living Sea on the 29m high screen. Dinner followed in the intimate Star Room located on the top floor with spectacular views across Darling Harbour. No expense was spared with catering by the Rock Pool restaurant and a chamber orchestra to complete the mood. During dinner, ESPE's National Technical Director, Mr Stephen Langdon, presented a multimedia presentation on the origins of ESPE and it's milestones in the field of dental materials - from their initial entree into the market with Cavit in 1947 (which, incidentally still achieves enormous sales worldwide) to the popular Pentamix sys-tem, Ketac Fil and Photac Fil glass ionomers to the latest developments - Hytac Compomer and the new Elipar Highlight curing light. Messrs Janni and Glassen reaffirmed ESPE's commitment to researching innovative and high quality dental materials in response to the changing needs of the dental industry.
