As part of Dental Axess' ongoing commitment to training and education, its annual Digital Evolution Program has been created to support both clinicians and dental technicians and provide insights into the everchanging digital dentistry landscape. This year's program featured an array of local and international experts and leaders in their fields, designed to connect educators with dental professionals.
The event was exciting and dynamic and changes to the Dental Axess product portfolio were revealed. Carrying forward the energy from IDS 2017, the company continues to offer more choice and flexibility to the market. Along with the current product portfolio, Dental Axess has onboarded new vendors to better serve the dental segment and become a catered solutions expert. New additions to the range include 3M and Carestream intraoral scanners, exocad lab software solutions, Medit desktop scanners and Structo and Formlabs 3D printers.
Another highlight from the program was the speaker line up. To engage its clinical base, Dr Andrea Shepperson and
Dr Philip Tan presented on the podium. Dr Shepperson, regarded as a global opinion leader in the Digital Smile Design concept, gave an interesting presentation on DSD cases and the collaborative nature of the clinic and lab workflow. Dr Tan, another expert on digital workflows, presented a very engaging presentation on the role of digital technology in the treatment of implant retained restorations. Dr Tan clearly demonstrated how technology assists with patient management and case accuracy. Representatives from 3Shape, exocad, Medit, Structo, CIM System and Elos Medtech were on board to educate and promote the latest updates in software and technology.
