Australian dental software developer, Centaur Software, has released version 12 of its flagship dental4windows practice management system that incorporates its much-anticipated 3D Charting concept. Also available in its Prosthetist edition, Dental4windows 3D Charting provides the ability to chart in 3-dimensions, then demonstrate treatment needs to patients and produce corresponding treatment plans for integrated scheduling. Using 3D images can be a very effective visual tool for patient communication and improving case acceptance as patients better understand issues when presented in an anatomically correct view.
Dental4windows advanced 3D charting utilises the same easy-to-use workflow style as before whilst further improving charting accuracy with each tooth surface now sectioned down to 40-42 sections per tooth including roots.
Teeth are able to be removed, singled out or even sectioned with the required treatment clearly marked on any surface of any tooth. The teeth will also rotate to whatever angle is necessary to view the treatment area.
Root structure is also shown, making your Patient Education and Case Presentation that much easier in 3D.
Version 12 of dental4windows also brings with it a very new look in the User Interface with larger control buttons amongst other changes resulting in an even easier workflow.
eForms is another much anticipated feature and almost the final step in making any denture clinic completely paperless with the ability to create Electronic Patient Registration forms that can be accessed and completed via most tablet devices and then imported direct to dental4windows.
SMS and email communication capabilities in Version 12 have improved even further including having SMS Reminder Replies automatically updating appointment status within the Appointment Book. This action alone improves efficiency considerably in any practice.
Finally, eAppointments delivers an Online Booking Portal providing the ability for the patient to book the appointment directly from your Recall Reminder received via SMS to the patient's smart phone and then delivering the appointment directly into your dental4windows Appointment Book.
