Dental Axess and Osteon Medical Form Collaboration

Dental Axess has announced a strategic collaboration with Osteon Medical, further broadening and enhancing its portfolio of milling options through the Dental Axess 3Shape Dental System. The collaboration also includes the development of customized CAD solutions and joint training and education activities.

"This collaboration was established to provide our 3Shape customers with a seamless approach to access local, high precision milled implant bars, frameworks and superstructures," said Dental Axess Director, Per Claesson. "The demand for this very specific product range has increased exponentially and we are very excited to be able to now offer Osteon Medical as a milling interface with our 3Shape Dental Systems."

Osteon Medical is located in Melbourne and provides industry driven CAD/CAM implant prosthetic products and solutions. The company brings to the market custom-made precision milled bars, frameworks and superstructures in titanium, cobalt chrome and tooth-coloured PMMA for implant-supported restorations.

Osteon's product range includes fixed hybrid bars, porcelain bonding frameworks, wraparound bars, Melbourne bars and a full range of titanium fixed/removable solutions including Easy-Clip, primary, Nexus, Hader and Dolder bars.

Osteon Medical is well-placed in this specialized area and is committed to research and the development of new products to meet industry demand through strong connections with industry experts including Australia's internationally respected universities.

Dental Axess customers will now have the freedom to both scan and design their implant frameworks using a customized version of the latest 3Shape Implant Bar and Bridge Module or send models direct to Osteon for in-house design and milling.
