Close shave for the Barbers

Well-known dental surgery builder Tony Barber and foreman Ben Fox of AL & JA Barber Pty Ltd recently participated in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave fundraiser. With the generous help of their clients and suppliers, the pair raised the substantial amount of $6,000 for the charity.

Over 90,000 people across Australia participated in the event that involved either shaving off or colouring their hair to raise funds for people living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders.

7,500 people are diagnosed with blood and bone marrow cancers every year; the equivalent of 20 people per day. The foundation supports patients and their families so they can concentrate on what's important - getting well.

"Ben and I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank past and present clients for their generous donations," Mr Barber said.
