Beware refurbished dental units

William Green Pty Ltd has advised dentists considering purchasing refurbished dental units to ensure the relevant TGA requirements pertaining to used equipment have been satisfied.

These include listing of the dental unit with the TGA, the seller of the dental unit must be listed as a sponsor with the TGA, quality systems must be in place for the refurbishment and the refurbishment of the unit must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The company says that it accepts no responsibility for any of its dental units sold secondhand or refurbished unless William Green Pty Ltd carries out the refurbishment itself.
