The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) has unveiled its new brand and the future direction for its major biennial dental exhibitions.
"The ADIA has organised the premier dental exhibitions in Australia for 25 years," said Executive Officer Duncan Campbell, "but over this time, various names have been used for our exhibitions. This has made it very difficult for us to communicate to potential visitors and exhibitors that it is the major industry exhibition and well worth the time to come along and participate.
"To address this, we have created a new brand for our major exhibition which will now be known as the Australian Dental Expo, or ADX for short. ADX will be held every two years and the first is in Melbourne, 26-28 May, 2006 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre..
"As part of this, we have created a new brand and identity for the ADX that will simplify its recognition and create a certain expectation for visitors. We are also encouraging exhibitors to think outside the square a little as well as introducing some other new concepts that will enhance the experience of attending. We have similarly solicited advice and feedback from many of our members who attend the major exhibitions around the world and will use this to evolve the show to create an increasingly interactive environment for future events."
Mr Campbell said that preparations were well underway for ADX Melbourne 2006 and over 100 exhibitors had already booked exhibition space. The ADA Victorian Branch is also holding its biennial conference at the same time in the same venue.
"There will be something on offer for everyone involved in the dental community from dentists and specialists to assistants, hygienists, therapists and practice managers to technicians and prosthetists. It is the ideal event to bring your entire team to to see the latest and greatest developments in dentistry or to shop for everything from consumables to a complete surgery setup. Everything dental will be here under the one roof."
