Align Technology, makers of the Invisalign® Clear Aligner System, has announced that they have replaced the Invisalign brand name with the Invisalign brand symbol (the "flower" mark) on all of their Invisalign aligners. This new global change took affect from June 20, 2016.
The Invisalign brand symbol will now be more legible on the aligner surface than the Invisalign brand name, making them more distinct and recognizable. Consumers trust the Invisalign brand and ask for Invisalign clear aligners by name.
"Ensuring we have a clear, legible brand mark on every aligner is an important part of distinguishing Invisalign aligners from our competitors. We want them to have confidence that they are getting Invisalign brand aligners - the most advanced clear aligners available.
While consumers may not be as familiar with the brand symbol as they are with the Invisalign brand name, future consumer messaging will encourage prospective patients to look for the Invisalign brand symbol to ensure they are getting Invisalign aligners," says Karen McGoldrick, Managing Director ANZ.
