The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), the peak business organisation representing manufacturers and suppliers of quality dental products, is pleased to announce the presentation of the inaugural ADIA President's Service Award to Ms Sandy Junior of Acteon Australia / New Zealand.
Sandy was selected as the recipient in recognition of her contribution as Chair of the ADIA-ISC Industry Skills Committee and in the delivery of the ADIA Introduction To Dentistry Course, the nation's foundation program for all new employees in the dental industry.
"We congratulate Sandy on this well-deserved award and we extend to her our appreciation of the valuable support she has given to ADIA and its programs," said Trevor Martin, ADIA National President.
The ADIA President's Service Award is bestowed upon an individual who has set themselves apart through their tireless contribution to the development of the Association. It is presented at the ADIA annual general meeting to one deserving dental industry professional.
"The ability of ADIA to support the growth and sustainability of member businesses is directly attributable to the efforts of the many individuals who volunteer their time to work with the Association. Sandy's contribution to ADIA is exemplary of the fact that the Association could not function without the support of such individuals who serve on national and state committees to provide advice, guidance and practical input into its many programs and initiatives", said Mr Martin.
The ADIA President's Service Award criterion requires recipients to have made a contribution that spans at least three years, including the year in which the award is bestowed. They should have made an exceptional contribution that sets themselves apart from the services rendered each year by many members of the Association.
