A-dec's 'turnkey' Preference™ ICC (Infection Control Centre) sterilization room solution will be a key feature of A-dec Australia's stand at the Australian Dental Expo in Melbourne.
According to the company, the innovative 'Infection Control Centre' concept has generated a huge amount of interest since becoming available through A-dec Australia dealers in the latter half of 2005.
The Preference ICC will be displayed at ADX in a new configuration with the inclusion of two sinks as preferred under the latest Australian infection control guidelines (AS4815).
A-dec Australia Territory Manager, Craig Young, said Preference ICC was a complete 'solution' to equipping an entire sterilisation room in both new and existing practices.
"Preference ICC is a dedicated piece of dental equipment built to address the exacting requirements of infection control protocols and making the 'steri room' a more efficient and pleasant work environment.
"The key to Preference ICC is its 'work flow' concept, which reinforces sterilization protocols by its layout and innovative features including dedicated 'clean and dirty' areas, built-in task lighting, hands-free operation of the taps, drying drawer and overhead cabinets, built in clock and timer and provision for an integral washer disinfector and W&H Lisa Sterilizers.
"One of the key advantages of a purpose-built solution is its comprehensive range of features and space-efficient, totally customisable design which means it doesn't require a large area to accommodate it, and can fit equally well into a galley style, L shaped or U shaped steri room."
"People who have gone through the exercise of deciding what they require to meet current infection control guidelines and fit into their steri rooms soon come to realise the Preference ICC is the perfect solution for them.
"Because ICC was designed with years of feedback from dentists it incorporates everything they could need in a sterilization room and some features many people wouldn't have even thought of."
Mr Young added that there was no one 'standard' configuration, which meant the modular design of ICC could be adapted for any situation.
With so many options available A-dec Australia provides free consultation with an A-dec equipment specialist to design the perfect configuration for any surgery.
