A-dec to distribute Progeny Dental

Distribution News

A-dec Australia has taken on distribution of Progeny Dental's imaging equipment products. The product line includes Progeny's intraoral x-ray systems, intraoral cameras and a digital xray sensor system. The distribution agreement covers the entire Australian and New Zealand dental markets.

"With digital imaging becoming indispensable in the operatory environment, Progeny's range of X-Ray systems, intra-oral cameras and digital sensors will compliment our existing equipment offering to our customers and will help us to provide a total equipment package solution," said Mr Craig Young, General Manager A-dec Australia.

"As a recognised leader in product sales and support to the Australian dental community, we will be able to offer our customers an outstanding level of support bolstered by our extensive national dealer network."

Mr Ed McDonough, CEO of Progeny Dental, stated that his company is committed to developing a "successful long term relationship and looks forward to working closely with A-dec Australia and its authorised dealers to bring the Progeny range to the local market".

A-dec Australia will be launching the Progeny range at the biennial Australian Dental Expo, March 28-30, 2008 and distributing through its authorised dealer network thereafter.

A-dec Australia is a subsidiary of A-dec one of the largest dental equipment manufacturers in the world. Based in Newberg Oregon USA, A-dec designs, builds, and markets much of what you see in the dental operatory, including chairs, stools, delivery systems, dental lights, cabinetry, handpieces and a full line of accessories. A-dec's primary focus is to create equipment innovations that help doctors perform healthier, more efficient dentistry - a mission the company has adhered to since it began over 40 years ago.

Progeny Dental was founded in 2001 with its headquarters and manufacturing facility located just west of Chicago, Illinois. The company launched its first product, the JB-70 Intraoral X-ray in June 2002 and has since become the leading manufacturer of intraoral X-ray systems in the United States.
