A-dec opens new Brisbane showroom

A-dec has opened a new dental equipment showroom in the spectacular heritage-listed former Victoria Park Golf Club in the inner city Brisbane suburb of Herston. The showroom adjoins Brisbane's premier medical precinct, which includes the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and is also close to the new University of Queensland Oral Health Centre.

A-dec General Manager, Patrick Jones, said the new showroom at 298 Gilchrist Ave (corner of Herston Road) would give Queensland dental practitioners access to A-dec's latest range of dental equipment.

A key feature of the Brisbane showroom is the array of various configurations of fully-equipped dental units in realistic dental surgery settings, including the newly released second generation A-dec 300 chair.

The surgeries also showcase the full range of W&H dental and surgical handpieces and infection control solutions, plus advanced Sopro Acteon digital imaging systems including Sopro intraoral cameras and caries detection devices, low dose X-ray generators and the compact new Acteon PSPIX "personal" phosphor plate scanner.

Mr Jones said the new Brisbane showroom and A-dec's recently opened Melbourne showroom complement the 13 individual A-dec dealer showrooms and authorised service centres across Australia.

The Brisbane showroom will be open by appointment with A-dec's Queensland Territory Managers, giving customers the opportunity of an interactive hands-on experience with the latest equipment, prior to making a purchase decision at a local A-dec dealership.

Queensland Territory Manager, Brian Gardiner added that the model surgery settings would enable dentists to experience A-dec's unique ergonomic and efficient approach to equipment and surgery design.

This approach is based on the A-dec Preference™ range of surgery cabinetry and fully customisable "Infection Control Centre" (ICC) which has been adopted by numerous private and public health dental clinics and health funds around Australia for its superior materials management, workflow discipline and storage options suitable for all sizes and shape of practices.
