A-dec "Light Night" for Townsville

North Queensland A-dec dealer, Medical & Dental Solutions, North Queensland (MDSNQ), hosted the first-ever Australian viewing of the new A-dec LED operatory light at its new Townsville showroom at 51 Keane St, Currajong in early March.

A major highlight of the evening was catering of the event by 2011 Master Chef contestant, Sarah Arnold. Sarah is married to local dentist Cameron Arnold and is the Practice Manager of their surgery, "Smile Dental" in Townsville, which assisted with staging the event.

MDSNQ Dealer principal, Jane Miller, said the open night was an opportunity for local dentists to see the latest dental equipment, especially focusing on all LED light solutions from operating lights to LED+ equipped dental handpieces from leading European manufacturer, W&H.

"All the dentists were very excited about the light and especially liked the 'cure-safe' feature. There were also demonstrations of the new W&H ImplantMed surgical motor which attracted quite a lot of interest as well," Mrs Miller said.

Another highlight of the night was the surprise give-away of a premium LED equipped W&H Synea TA-98C LED+ handpiece complete with RotoQuick coupling, donated by A-dec and W&H. The lucky door prize was won by Dr Quan Ho from Endondontics NQ. Dr Barbara Mitton from Absolutely Dental at Kirwan Plaza also won a gift basket provided by MDSNQ.
