A-dec equipment named best - again!

A-dec equipment has once again been named "Best in Class" for an astonishing 15 years in a row in a landmark annual survey of dentists in the USA. Dental Town magazine, which publishes the annual "Townie" awards as voted by dentists, again awarded A-dec Best in Class in the Operatory Equipment category which includes patient chairs, delivery systems, dental cabinetry, dental stools and operatory lights.

More than one in three dentists responding to the survey named A-dec as their product of choice, according to results published in the December 2018 issue of the magazine.

A-dec has dominated the equipment category since the annual Dental Town survey began in 2003. The latest award follows other recognition for A-dec's LED operatory light, cabinetry and patient chairs.

A-dec was earlier awarded the coveted Dental Advisor magazine Editors' Choice Award for its LED operatory light, which has won multiple awards since its release including the Red Dot award for Design Excellence.

Senior Product Manager for A-dec Australia, Shal Hafiz, said the latest Townie "Best in Class" Operatory Equipment Award was positive proof that dentists around the world valued A-dec's commitment to quality, innovation and excellence.

This approach saw A-dec become a pioneer of both "sit-down" dentistry and "four-handed dentistry" by combining a delivery system with a reclining patient chair.

"Today A-dec is best known for its strong emphasis on ergonomics and its wide range of dental chairs and flexible delivery systems that suit different working styles."

Mr Hafiz said A-dec's ergonomically-designed patient chairs and dentist's stools have been shown to help avoid musculoskeletal injury such as chronic neck and back pain and other debilitating ailments common among dentists.

"The A-dec brand is also renowned for its reliability, which has seen A-dec equipment widely used in teaching institutions and dental hospitals, government and community dental clinics and private practices throughout the world," Mr Hafiz said.
