A-dec Australia has reported a new record in sales for a single month of its new A-dec 500 dental unit during March. According to the company, the new flagship of the A-dec product range represents the culmination of 40 years in engineering innovation and world firsts.
A-dec Australia General Manager, Keith Mentiplay, said the success of the A-dec 500 reflected Australian dentists' increased awareness of the importance of ergonomics in the dental clinic.
"Long ago, A-dec revolutionised the dental industry by developing a chair and other equipment for sit-down dentistry and has pioneered many of the advances in dental equipment in use in surgeries today. That's why today A-dec is the equipment of choice for more dentists around the world than any other brand," Mr Mentiplay said.
To celebrate its 40 years of achievements, A-dec released a 40th anniversary package at this year's Australian Dental Congress in Adelaide featuring the A-dec 500 complete with a range of included accessories.
"Dentists are now realising that price is not the most important determinant in making important equipment purchasing decisions. What they also need to consider is the ability of the right equipment to make their work more productive and more sustainable and reduce their total operating costs including downtime.
"We see A-dec equipment as an investment for the life of your practice. Despite its advanced features, the A-dec 500 is built around the same pneumatic control block which has delivered legendary performance and reliability with minimal maintenance over the life of the chair."
A-dec Australia has also announced a comprehensive 5-year warranty on A-dec parts for all equipment installed after 1 February 2005.
"While the length of our warranty has increased from 3 to 5 years, the terms have remained the same. All major parts are fully covered, including the chair cylinders which are guaranteed for 10 years. After the warranty expires, our customers can still look forward to many years of trouble-free service. Because we have a manufacturer's presence in Australia, we carry a full range of parts for all models. We even have parts from the first A-dec unit we sold 40 years ago and all the chairs are easy and inexpensive to maintain which makes them a sound investment in the life of your practice."
