A big day out for the team

It is on again! Preparations for the Fourth Annual Big Day Out for the Dental Team Conference presented by the NSW Dental Assistant's (Professional) Association are well underway. The event is scheduled for Friday, 12 September 2008 from 9am to 5pm at The Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt St, Sydney.

Excellent lecturers, workshops and new product displays from a large trade participation will make this a day not to miss!

A parallel clinical program for dentists will be available plus workshops on sterilizing, new products and care of equipment.

Speakers and Topics include the opening address by Todd Redwood - Head of Education and Training at the NSW ADA's Centre for Professional Development; New Career Pathways in Dental Practice presented by Associate Professor Dr Deborah Cockrell, Oral Health Dept, University of Newcastle; Facial Fractures - Repair & Reconstruction with Dr O James Younessi, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon; and Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilisation - Facts and Fallacies presented by Ms Terry McAuley, an independent Sterilisation and Infection Control Consultant. Terry represents the Australian Infection Control Association on the Australian Standards Committee responsible for AS/NZS 4187 and AS/NZS 4815 relating to the reprocessing of reusable medical devices. Tooth Whitening - Facts and Fallacies will also be presented by Dr Pamela Dalgliesh and finally, Team Dynamics - Personalities and Conflict management with Action Coach Australian Business Coaching.
